Mr. De Silva has over 30 Years’ experience in the Apparel and Textile Industry of which 19 years is directly in manufacturing experience in the textile industry. Prior to joining Teejay, he was the Head of Planning at Slimline - Pannala. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from University of Lincoln (UK), Masters in Manufacturing Management from the University of Colombo and a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Colombo.
He was further trained in Six Sigma Black Belt at the National Institute of the Business Management Sri Lanka and Leadership Development Program (LDP®) at the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL) in Singapore. Mr. De Silva was recently appointed as the Chairman of Fabric and Apparel Accessory Manufacturing Association (FAAMA), The apex body for Fabrics and Textile Industry in Sri Lanka.
Mr. Nishtar holds over 14 years of professional experience in the field of Finance. Following the launch of his career at Ernst & Young Chartered Accountants, Sri Lanka, Mr. Nishtar continued to take up position as Chief Financial Officer at American & Efird Bangladesh and Teejay Lanka PLC. His current role at Teejay Group includes leadership and key responsibilities in the fields of Finance, Information Technology and Commercial Functions.
As an Executive Committee Member his responsibilities include Annual Strategic Planning, Long Range Planning, Investor Relations and Administration of the Group. He is an Associate Member of Chartered Management Accountants (United Kingdom), Institute of Chartered Accountants (Sri Lanka) and Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA). He is an old boy of S. Thomas’ College, Mount Lavinia.
Mr. Nallaperuma is responsible for overall operations at Teejay India Private Limited since 2013. He joined Teejay (Teejay Lanka) in the year 2002 and counts experienced over 17 years.
He holds a BSc Engineering from University of Moratuwa and Masters in Manufacturing Management from University of Colombo.
Renuja holds over 13 years of professional experience in the field of Finance. Embarking her career at Brandix Lanka Limited Renuja continued to take up different positions in finance including corporate treasury, business transformation & operational finance.
She has also headed the finance function in Axiata Digital Labs. Renuja held the position as General Manager – Finance at Teejay India Private Limited prior to being appointed as the Teejay Group Chief Financial Officer.
Renuja holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) & she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Colombo specializing in Finance. She is a passed finalist of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (United Kingdom). Renuja is a past pupil of St. Bridget’s Convent, Colombo 07.
Mr Nanayakkara heads the Human Resources team at Teejay and holds the designation of General Manager - Human Resources. At Teejay, the functions of Executive HR, Works HR, Compliance, HES, and Admin are core responsibilities of GM HR. He joined Teejay in April 2017 on retirement from the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) after 29 years of distinguished service. He held the rank of Air Commodore at the time of retirement from the SLAF. He possesses National Diploma in HR from IPM (SL) and an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business.
He is an old boy of S Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia.
Mr. Prasanna Bandara has over 18 years work experience in the fields of Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Operations Planning and Production control, Production management, Engineering, and customer services of which 14 years in apparel and textile industry. He started his career at MAS Holdings and continued to take up positions as head of North Sails Sri Lanka Operations and Head of operations at Brandix Textiles Limited.
Currently he is responsible for Group supply chain and Marketing (Calzedonia Business) functions of Teejay Group. This includes Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Supplier Relations and Sales & Marketing while maintaining Customer Relations with the Calzedonia Group. He is also involved in crucial strategic leadership activities such as Long-Range Planning, Implementation of sales and operations planning process (S&OP) and setting up the overall marketing blueprint for Calzedonia business growth.
He is an Engineer by profession also holds two Masters Degrees as Masters of Engineering in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from University of Moratuwa and Masters in Business Administration from University of Wolverhampton, UK. He possesses BSc Engineering in Chemical and Process Engineering with a Second- Class Honors Division from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He is further trained in Lean Manufacturing, Center for Creative Leadership, Cleaner Production Auditor’s program and various other technical trainings in relation to textile technologies in USA and EU.
Mr. Rafayal has been working in the apparel sector covering Textiles & Elastics for more than 17 years handling senior positions across Sales & Marketing / Merchandising roles. He carries experience of handling customers covering in synthetic Warp knit & Woven fabric manufacturing mills and adds value to our customers. He joined Teejay in 2017 and is responsible for overlooking the main brands such as LB, Decathlon, Lidl & Uniqlo business. He holds a Bachelor of Business Management double majored in Management & Marketing (Aus).
Sampath has total work experience of over 27 years in textile industry of which he has spent over 19 years in managerial positions. He is responsible for the entire production functions in Teejay lanka, prior to joining the company he was a Deputy General manager at Hayley’s Fabric PLC. He holds the National Diploma (NDT) in Textile and Clothing Technology from University of Moratuwa and Bachelor of Physical Science (BSc) – University of Ruhuna. He also holds the Master of Business Administration (MBA) University of Bedfordshire UK and further is trained in 3TP Senior Leaders Program in Indian (Institute of Management Ahmedabad India) and has exposure from more than 15 countries in textile processing and application.
Mr Thushara heads the Risk and Control Function of Teejay Group. He is a qualified finance professional with over 17 years of experience in the apparel and textile manufacturing industries. He has completed 12 years at Teejay. During his tenure at Teejay, he had the opportunity to successfully expand his horizon cross functionally as a Finance Manager, Senior Manager Finance and Commercial and he was promoted as the Head of Group Risk and Control. His diverse skill set, risk, and assurance exposure from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he started his career and technical competencies acquired throughout the years contribute immensely to the current role he serves.
Mr Thushara has a degree in Business Administration (Business Economics) at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (Sri Lanka) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK). He also holds a MBA from the University of Southern Queensland Australia.
Harshana has over 14 years of experience in the fields of Finance, Strategy Formulation, Commercial Management, and Sales and Marketing of which 11 years in apparel and textile industry. He started his career at Avery Dennison Lanka and continued to take up positions in Corporate Finance and Corporate Planning at Brandix Lanka Limited and as Head of Finance and Commercial (Sri Lankan entities) for Teejay Lanka PLC before moving to take responsibilities in Sales and Marketing for the Teejay Group. Currently he is responsible for Group Marketing (Nike and Emerging Brands) and Group Strategy functions of Teejay Group.
Harshana holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the Cardiff Metropolitan University & he holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Colombo specializing in Finance. He is an Associate Member of Chartered Management Accountants (ACMA UK) and an Associate member of Certified Practicing Accountant of Australia (CPA Aus).
Princely Tirantha Weerakoon is an experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager at Teejay Lanka PLC, specializing in the textile industry's weft knitting sector.
With over 15 years of extensive experience, Princely has risen through the ranks from an Executive Management Trainee to his current senior management position, where he oversees the entire operations of Teejay Lanka entity.
His tenure includes pivotal roles such as Senior Manager and Manager of Finishing, Knitting, and Warehouse departments. Princely's expertise in product development and handling advanced finishing machinery has been instrumental in driving operational efficiency and innovation. He holds a National Diploma in Textile Engineering (NDT) from University of Moratuwa & holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Studies in Textile. He has completed his MBA from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura. Princely combines academic excellence with practical prowess, making him a key asset to Teejay Lanka PLC.
With a robust career spanning over two decades across various sectors, Sarathsiri Mohottalage stands as a seasoned professional renowned for his expertise in development and innovation. Currently serving as the Group Head of Development and Innovation at Teejay Group, Mohottalage's journey through the industry has been marked by significant contributions and strategic leadership.
Mohottalage's career journey commenced in 2002 when he embarked on his professional odyssey as a Management Trainee at Teejay Lanka PLC. This foundational experience laid the groundwork for his subsequent roles, enabling him to cultivate a deep understanding of industry dynamics and operational intricacies. Transitioning to MAS Active, he assumed pivotal responsibilities within the Supply Chain Function for Strategic brands, honing his expertise in optimizing operational efficiency and fostering strategic partnerships.
In 2016, Mohottalage took on the role of Group Sourcing Manager at Hela Clothing, where he showcased his acumen in procurement and supplier management. His tenure at Hela Clothing further underscored his adeptness in navigating complex supply chain networks and driving sustainable business practices.
In 2018, Mohottalage advanced his career path by assuming the role of GM – Category Management (Fabric) within the Supply Chain function at Brandix Apparel Ltd. In this role, he led strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening Supply Chain stability by proactively identifying potential risk factors upstream, while concurrently enhancing profitability through strategic sourcing endeavors
Upon his return to Teejay Group in 2021, Mohottalage took on the crucial position of Group Head of Development and Innovation. In this role, he utilizes his vast industry knowledge and strategic insight to guide Teejay Group's endeavors in research, development, and innovation. His leadership plays a pivotal role in cultivating a culture of creativity and ongoing enhancement within the company, propelling sustainable expansion and nurturing a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
Mohottalage earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, emphasizing his solid technical background.
